Each Day, Neighbor Cuts Through Woman's Yard Until Trap Is Set Up

Setting The Trap

As Sarah dusted her hands, she smiled wickedly. The air was filled with a foul smell that was thick and horrendous. Her satisfaction grew as she looked at the yard in front of her.

She was retaliating against her neighbor who had exploited her. There was no way he would get away with this anymore. Her only task now was to wait.

He Couldn’t Care Less

Sarah Jacobs was tired of it all. Her yard was ruined by one of her neighbors over a period of a few weeks. It was not unusual for her to notice the man from time to time.

A few times, he hopped over the fence, hopped into one of her flowerbeds, and wandered into the street. It was a shortcut he was taking through her yard. Despite her repeated requests for him to stop, he refused. The act of being nice had worn her out.

Waiting For Him

As she stood before the window, she didn't look away from the yard for a second. She had been watching the man's schedule closely over the past few weeks.

It was inevitable that he would hop over the fence at any moment if everything went according to plan. This had been meticulously planned out, so she couldn't wait. Hopefully, today will be the day she finally teaches him a lesson.

Excited For Revenge

She drank her steaming coffee slowly. Her patience was running out. Now that he had abused her yard at his leisure, he must learn a costly lesson.

She raised her eyebrows when she noticed movement across the fence. Her eyes were fixed on the man as he tossed his bag into her yard, just like he did every morning. This time, however, it fell right into her trap.

No Soft Flowers

As the man raised himself over the fence, she watched with a smirk across her face. After that, he dropped into her flowerbed as he did every day.

Where he would usually land in a lush, soft flower bed, he was met with a disgusting substance. The look of surprise on his face was evident from where she stood. It was then that she heard it.

Right On Schedule

Throughout the small yard and into her home, the man's scream could be heard. She smiled as she placed her cup on a nearby counter and headed toward the door.

She was going to laugh at him for letting this go on for so long. She had caught him right in her trap.

Former Marine Settling Down

Former Marine, Sarah Jacobs, lived the good life in Phoenix, Arizona. Having retired just a few months before, she enjoyed a quiet suburban life. It didn't matter how long she had been there, she immediately felt at home with her kind neighbors.

One neighbor, however, got on her nerves. Nikolas was his name, and he was disrespectful toward her boundaries.

Rude And Obnoxious

The house Nikolas lived in was right behind Sarah's, and from the looks of it, they didn't seem to agree on much. To get into town, Nikolas had to take the bus every morning. It would take him around a block to reach the bus stop.

However, he found a shortcut through Sarah's yard. The journey would be cut down by about ten minutes in this way.

He Remained Unbothered

A glaring problem remained, however. He would land in one of Sarah's flowerbeds every time he hopped the fence to get through Sarah's yard.

Her flowers were destroyed over time as a result of this. When she mentioned this problem to him, he seemed uninterested.

Over The Fence

It was on a Monday morning. After waking up, Sarah began brewing a pot of coffee. Looking through the window that pointed into her yard, she stood at the sink.

Suddenly, Nikolas was caught in the act. Within seconds, he threw his bag over the fence and hopped over it himself.

Boundaries

Sarah watched with narrowed eyes. She had confronted him about this the day before, but her words went into one ear and out the other. He did not care to respect her boundaries.

With a hand on her hit, she watched as the man casually walked through her yard. The flower bush he had jumped into was flattened, and she was furious. He had no idea who he was messing with.

Hands-On

As an ex-marine, Sarah had gotten used to solving problems with a more hands-on approach. This was not the first time she had asked the man to stop, but he was not listening.

She was going to get her revenge if it was the last thing she ever did. She stood motionless before the window, planning her next move. It took some time, but she knew just what she had to do.

Her Plan

That afternoon, while Nikolas was away at work, Sarah began putting her plan into action. If he wasn’t going to respect her wishes on his own, she would punish him.

It was just past noon when the older woman hopped into her car and made her way to the nearest nursery. She had thought of the perfect way to get back at her obnoxious neighbor.

The Store

It took no longer than ten minutes for Sarah to find exactly what she was looking for. She got two male employees to help her carry the bags to her car before heading back home.

She had to work fast. She didn’t want Nikolas to suspect anything. But she couldn’t wait to see his reaction once he stepped into her trap. She couldn’t stop smirking as she made her way home.

Getting To Work

As soon as she returned from the store, she made her way into the garden. Thick gloves covered her hands as she ventured into the garden with rubber boots.

She dragged the two heavy bags with her. Cutting them open, she got to work, covering the soil and plants in thick compost. The smell was overwhelming, but she knew that it would pay off.

Both Bags

She decided to empty both bags into the small flowerbed that her neighbor had been abusing for so long. She wondered if her little prank would finally be enough to get him to stop what he was doing to her flowers.

Once the ground was covered in a thick layer of compost, the older woman grabbed a hosepipe.

Muddy

She spent the next thirty minutes wetting the compost. She wanted to make sure it was soaking wet and muddy. Her intention was to ruin the man’s entire day.

The smell was horrible, but that’s what she was going for.  As she stared down at the scene, she felt a sense of accomplishment.

Not The Type

Sarah had never been the type to pull these kinds of pranks on those around her, but as far as she was concerned, the rude man deserved it. He had been destroying her flowerbeds.

The man’s laziness was costing Sarah her happiness. She was doing what she had to do to make him listen to her. But would her little prank work?

Strong Smell

Sarah had a wicked smile as she dusted the dirt from her hands. A strong smell hung in the air, thick and horrid. As she glanced at the yard before her, she felt satisfied.

Her neighbor had been taking advantage, and now, she was getting her revenge. They would no longer get away with this. All she had to do now was wait.

Cleaning Up

Once she was done, she tossed the empty comport bags in the bin and headed inside to clean herself up. The awful smell had reached the inside of her home, but she didn’t mind.

She closed most of her back windows and took a long shower, washing the soil and stress from her body. She couldn’t wait until morning. Nikolas was going to get a taste of his own medicine.

Anticipation

She spent the night rolling around in her bed. She was too excited for the morning to come, and she barely managed to sleep because of it. But before long, her bedroom was filled with daylight.

She got up instantly when she checked the time. He would hop over the fence every morning at 07:30 sharp. She only had a few minutes to set up. Running to the kitchen, she made herself a cup of coffee.

Watching

Her eyes didn’t leave the yard for a second as she stood in front of the window by her sink. Over the last few weeks, she had been paying close attention to Nikolas’ schedule.

If all went according to plan, he would hop over the fence at any moment. She couldn’t wait, She had planned this out meticulously. Today was the day she was finally going to teach him a lesson.

Movement

She took a long sip of her steaming cup of coffee. She couldn’t wait a second longer. This man had been abusing her yard at his convenience, and now, he was going to learn a costly lesson.

Her eyebrows raised when she saw movement on the other side of the fence. She watched as Nikolas tossed his bag into her yard, just like he had every other morning. But this time, it landed straight into her trap.

It Was Ruined

She had to cover her mouth with her hand to stop herself from laughing. The bag had landed deep in the compost and so did the contents of the bag. It was all ruined.

Sarah whispered an enthusiastic “Yes!” under her breath as she looked at the scene unfolding before her eyes. It was all going according to plan.

A Smirk

With a smirk on her face, she watched as he raised himself over the fence next. And then, just like every other day, he dropped into her flower bed.

Usually, he would be met by soft, lush bushes of flowers, but this time, he landed in the disgusting substance. From where she was standing, she could see the surprised look on his face. Then she heard it.

Going Outside

His scream echoed through the small yard and into her home. With a gin, the older woman placed her cup on a nearby counter and made her way toward the door.

He had gotten away with this for far too long, and she was going to laugh in his face. He had dropped straight into her trap.

There He Was

Stepping outside, she could see Nikolas in the thick, muddy substance. His clothes, face, and hair were covered in it. “No! What is this?” He yelled. As he tried to get up, he slipped and fell back in.

She leaned against a nearby wall, and when he looked up at her, he instantly noticed her smirk. He was furious.

Furious

“How’s it going Nik? Looks like you’re in a bit of a sticky situation,” She snorted. The look on the man’s face was priceless. He was fuming as he got up and grabbed his things from the compost.

He was too angry to speak and decided to jump back over to his yard. “Hey Nik,” She called just before he could.

Next Time

He glanced over her shoulder and looked at the older woman. “The next time you use my yard as a shortcut, you’ll be landing in a lot worse than a little compost, you got that?”

He nodded before pulling himself back over the fence. Sarah’s smile remained for days to come. She was beyond satisfied with what she had done.

It Worked

Thankfully, her little prank worked. Nikolas never dared to use her yard as a shortcut again. Instead, he walked the ten-minute journey around their neighborhood. Just as she had requested.

Her flower bed managed to recover quite fast with all of the compost. Finally, her little problem was solved.
