As soon as Jason told his mother, Marian got to work on making something, especially for her daughter-in-law, Sammy. Although they had their differences, Marian jumped at the chance to help. Sammy was very surprised to hear that her mother-in-law was willing and eager to help her.
At least now she would be able to get rid of her problem. Jason was convinced that his mother’s concoctions would be able to help Sammy get rid of the dandruff once and for all. Little did they know that Marian was up to no good.
Special Shampoo
Marian even called her daughter-in-law one day to inform her that she needed just a few more days to make the perfect homemade shampoo for her scalp problem. “Sorry it’s taking so long. I’ve had to source some of the special ingredients for the shampoo. I wanted to get the very best quality ingredients for this batch. I just know it’s going to help with your problem.”
Sammy was taken aback by her mother-in-law’s kindness. They hadn’t managed to have a civil conversation in months.
Grateful
However, she was grateful that she was willing to help. Maybe she was finally starting to accept Sammy. She hoped that she had realized that she wasn’t after her son’s money.
Perhaps Jason had spoken to his mother in private and asked her to respect his wife. Sammy didn’t know. But whatever it was, she was thankful. She hated the tense atmosphere between them and all she wanted was for there to be peace in their family. However, Sammy had to brace herself for what was about to unfold.

After about three days, Marian finally arrived with the special anti-dandruff shampoo for her daughter-in-law. Sammy smiled brightly when she saw the bottle. Before we rushed to the bathroom to wash her hair, Sammy thought that she wanted to return the kind gesture and have some coffee and cake with her mother-in-law. Now was the perfect time for them to iron out their differences and talk things through.
“Why don’t you stay for some coffee and cake? I made a delicious chocolate cake for the children. There’s still plenty left. I’d love it if we shared some together.” However, Marian had other plans. “I’m sorry, dear. I already have plans with some friends. Maybe next time? Besides, you need to get to the bathroom and get your hair washed.”

Although Sammy was a little disappointed, she understood. Hopefully, they would be able to spend some quality time together as mother and daughter-in-law. As Marian left the house, Sammy rushed to the bathroom with her specially made shampoo.
“Goodbye dandruff, hello beautiful clean and clear scalp!” she said to herself in the mirror. She opened the bottle and smelled the contents. It smelled very strong and medicinal. “What did Marian put in here?” Sammy was about to find out.
