Some people prefer to shower in the evening. For them, showering is part of the evening routine. Maybe you see showering as a moment for yourself where you can relax. For a moment no phone or work email on which you are constantly reachable. Your thoughts flow away along with the warm shower water and when you step out of the shower, you are ready for bed. Others prefer to take a shower in the morning. This gives you some time to wake up, without being expected to do anything. This shower moment can also be experienced as meditative.
For all the advocates of a morning shower, we have good news. It would be best to shower at the beginning of the day. There are several reasons for this. Showering in the morning increases the chance of starting the day in a calm, stress-free manner. This calmness causes your body to produce less cortisol (stress hormone) and less inflammation will occur in your body. If you plan to shave, a morning shower is also the best choice. Any wounds that may occur will heal faster before breakfast than after dinner.
